History
A new generation
Many great histories have derived from Færgegården since its first opening for guests in 1890. In the 1950’s Færgegården regularly began hosting campists and since then our guests as well as staff have shared many great experiences.
Færgegården’s Camping is Langeland’s oldest camping site and has an ideal placement close to the harbour, the beach, shopping and the ferry to Lolland, hence "Færgegården" meaning the ferry farm, often housing the ferrymen obliged to transport people over sea.
The concept has changed and transformed over time and nowadays Færgegården offers cabins, holiday apartments, bed & breakfast, traditional camping facilities and not to mention the latest initiative, our small café near the beach.
We believe Færgegården’s amazing location and special history is worth promoting in the future as well. So as the second generation in line, we: Nicolas (30), Cristina (27) and Bjorn (0) have chosen to continue the journey onwards. Through the eyes of youth, our many ideas and with great respect for Færgegården’s unique atmosphere, we hope to add many more happy moments to our guests' memories.
We invite you to take part in our history!

No matter your preferences our facilities hold many possibilities. Throughout the season we host cyclists, anglers, hikers, campers, families with children, dog owners, seniors, and many more lovely people.
Plentiful Possibilities
Whether you love the wide ocean, a quiet moment or "hygge" and play with your family,
we gladly help you.
Færgegården's Camping rent out bikes and electric bicycles as well as spears for underwater spearfishing. We also offer minigolf or the more unknown discgolf, where frisbees are thrown into huge metal nets.
While the younger children enjoy our playground and jumping pillow or an ice cold ice cream, the fishing enthusiastic family members can smoke today’s catch at the free-to-use smoke oven. During the summer we also make campfire bread with jam for the children and offer wine tasting for the grownups, live music, and if you are lucky the local forest deer may join your conversations in the night!
